Texas Rangers Join Investigation After Body Found in Ditch Near Snyder

 

SCURRY COUNTY, TX — A man was found deceased Monday morning in a ditch near the intersection of FM 1606 and County Road 394, according to the Scurry County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene at around 8:09 a.m. on June 2 after receiving a call about a possible body in a bar ditch southwest of Snyder. EMS also responded and confirmed the man was deceased.

SCSO says the man’s identity has not yet been released, as officials are working to notify next of kin and continue the investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with the Texas Rangers to determine what led to the man's death. 

No other details have been released at this time.
