How to Get Rid of Tumbleweeds in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock is offering more ways for residents in the Hub City to get rid of tumbleweeds.

According to a city press release, extra containers will be set up at the four citizen convenience centers from Friday, March 7, through Friday, March 21.

Residents can also drop off tumbleweeds for free at the Caliche Canyon Landfill, located at 8425 North Avenue P.

The drop-off locations are below:

  • Southside: 1631 84th Street
  • Northside: 208 Municipal Drive
  • South Milwaukee: 7308 Milwaukee Avenue
  • North Quaker: 4307 Adrian Street
