Lubbock Airport to Conduct Live Fire Training

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport will conduct a live fire training exercise at its Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) Training Facility on Saturday, May 3.

According to a press release, the training is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will involve controlled burns that may produce visible smoke and flames. 

Officials say nearby residents and businesses may notice the activity but should not be alarmed. The exercise is part of routine training for airport fire personnel.
