A temporary field office will be set up at the intersection of East 24th Street and Redbud Avenue (2219 MLK Jr. Blvd). Residents can speak with code officers, ask questions about city ordinances, or report concerns.
Solid Waste Services will also provide a roll-off dumpster at the field office for area residents to dispose of bulky waste items such as old furniture, appliances, and tree branches.
The deployment is to address common code violations, including junked vehicles, overgrown weeds, trash accumulation, substandard housing conditions, and zoning infractions, says the City of Lubbock.
Code inspectors will be on-site to educate the public, issue citations for violations, and take corrective action where necessary.
