Lubbock Public Library Announces Family-Focused Events

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Public Library is hosting a variety of free events for all ages during the week of July 21–26, including balloon twisting shows, storytimes, book clubs and crafting programs across multiple library branches.

Balloon artist Steve Winger will perform interactive shows inspired by children's picture books at several branches throughout the week, while the “Read, Lunch, & Learn” initiative continues at Patterson Branch to combat summer learning loss and food insecurity for children in grades K-8.

Other highlights include:

  • UNO Tournament and Music and Magic in Polka Color at Mahon Library

  • Sensory art for toddlers and crochet projects for teens and adults at Groves Branch

  • PBS Kids Storytime and BookTok Book Club at Mahon Library

  • Senior Day Out and Plan-To-Do-Better planner group at Patterson Branch

  • Preschool and Tiny Tots storytimes at all branches
