LUBBOCK, TX — The Big 12 Conference released its 2025-26 men's basketball opponent matrix on Thursday, revealing Texas Tech’s 18-game conference slate. The Red Raiders will play home-and-home series against BYU, Colorado, and Houston, host six opponents, and travel for six road-only matchups.
Texas Tech will face Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, and Utah at home, while traveling to Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Iowa State, UCF, and West Virginia for their away-only contests. The conference returns to an 18-game format after a one-year shift to a 20-game schedule.
Tech is coming off a 28-9 season that included a second-place Big 12 finish and an NCAA Elite Eight appearance under head coach Grant McCasland, who enters his third season with a 51-20 overall record and 26-12 conference mark.
The Red Raiders return Big 12 Player and Newcomer of the Year JT Toppin and All-Freshman honoree Christian Anderson, and have reloaded through the transfer portal with five new additions, plus incoming freshman Nolan Groves.
The 2026 Big 12 Championship is scheduled for March 10-14 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
Game dates, times, TV designations, and ticket details will be announced at a later date.
