Texas Tech Football to Send Eight to NFL Combine

 

LUBBOCK, TX — A program-record eight Texas Tech players will participate in the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine this week at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The Red Raiders received their invitations earlier this month and will now take part in on-field workouts from Thursday through Sunday as they look to improve their standing ahead of the NFL Draft.

Thursday, Feb. 26 (Defensive linemen, linebackers, place kickers)

  • Skyler Gill-Howard (DL11)

  • Lee Hunter (DL15)

  • David Bailey (DL31)

  • Romello Height (DL40)

  • Jacob Rodriguez (LB21)

Saturday, Feb. 28 (Quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs)

  • Behren Morton (QB12)

  • Caleb Douglas (WO19)

  • Reggie Virgil (WO41)

No Texas Tech players are scheduled to work out Friday (tight ends, defensive backs) or Sunday (offensive linemen).

On-field drills begin at 2 p.m. CT on Thursday and Friday, and at noon CT on Saturday and Sunday. Participants will complete the 40-yard dash, 10-yard split, vertical jump, broad jump, 3-cone drill, 20-yard shuttle and position-specific drills. The bench press is conducted the day after each player’s on-field workout.

Gill-Howard announced Feb. 25 that he will not participate in Thursday’s on-field drills but will complete the bench press Friday. Rodriguez announced he will not participate in Friday’s bench press.

Broadcast Information

The NFL Network will provide live coverage of on-field workouts from Thursday through Sunday, with streaming options available on NFL+. Coverage will originate from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Live broadcast times (Central Time):

  • Thursday: 2 p.m. (encores at 7 p.m.)

  • Friday: 2 p.m. (encores at 7 p.m.)

  • Saturday: Noon (encores at 7 p.m.)

  • Sunday: Noon (encore at 4 p.m.)

Additional coverage will air earlier in the week with special on-site editions of NFL Network programming.
