LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock will test its Outdoor Warning System at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13.
The test will include a three-minute activation of the city’s warning sirens and does not indicate severe weather in the area, officials said.
City officials said the sirens are tested monthly on the second Friday of each month. If the National Weather Service forecasts a 10% or greater chance of thunderstorms on the day of the test, the activation will be canceled and not rescheduled.
More information about the Outdoor Warning System is available at the city’s website.
