Fatal Rollover Crash Claims Life of Muleshoe Man in Bailey County

 

BAILEY COUNTY, TX – A 54-year-old Muleshoe man was killed Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash on County Road 163, approximately half a mile north of County Road 1028, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Authorities said Troy Moore was driving a 2006 Jeep south on County Road 163 around 2:03 p.m. when the vehicle veered off the roadway into the east barrow ditch. The Jeep entered a nearby field, went into a side skid, rolled over and came to rest upright.

Moore, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.

The posted speed limit in the area is 60 mph. Conditions were reported as clear and dry at the time of the incident.

The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
