Lubbock Public Health Change Vaccine Clinics Hours

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock Public Health Department will discontinue walk-in hours for the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine beginning Monday, June 30, and return to normal appointment-only scheduling.

Appointments will be available Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon.

The temporary walk-in clinic was established in response to a recent measles outbreak. According to the department, no new measles cases have been reported in Lubbock County since May 4.

Despite the change in scheduling, health officials continue to urge residents to stay up to date on all recommended vaccinations, including the MMR vaccine, to help prevent the spread of communicable diseases.

To schedule an appointment, call 806-775-2933 or visit mylubbock.us/publichealth.
